Vehicle Description
A good condition 2005 model year V70 D5 SE with just over 82,000 miles in Barents blue pearl metallic. The V70 is, in our view, a fabulous car to the extent that we run V70 D5's as our own cars and this is one is any many ways the ultimate V70 model combining the economy and performance of the D5 engine with the most of the performance of a petrol turbo version.
The comprehensive SE specification includes full leather trim, power seats, cruise control, climate control, auto-dipping mirror, electric windows, trip computer, electric folding mirrors, CD multichanger, Dolby Pro-Logic 9-speaker stereo, 17" alloys, rain sensor, the fabulous 9 speaker stereo system & full stability control.
The interior is presented in black leather with aluminium inserts.
Volvo's 5-cylinder D5 engine produces 163bhp and a massive 340Nm of torque whilst still returning over 40mpg on the combined cycle and in our opinion offers pretty much all the performance you could ever ask for and generally feels faster than the petrol turbo versions in day to day driving whilst being vastly more economical.
The overall exterior condition of the car is very good and well above the norm for an 80k example. There are no dings, dents, scrapes or other sort of marks on the exterior at all. The only thing we can criticise is that somebody has evidently painted out some stone chips on the plastic bit of the bumper at the front (the "nose cone") and if you look carefully you can see it has been resprayed along the top. It only affects the plastic bit, not the bonnet. On the whole it is one of the best condition V70's in this age and mileage range we have seen in a while.
The interior is similarly excellent - like all V70's it shows very little wear or use and could pass for an almost new car.
Wheels
The wheels have a below average number kerb marks - there are a couple but overall we would describe the wheels as being in very good condition for the mileage (please enlarge the photos below). The tyres are all quite new and good quality makes.
History
The car was supplied new by Rybrook Volvo in March 2005. It has been serviced by Volvo dealers on schedule at 13199, 24107, 41628, 49697, 59904, 70906 and very recently at 81833 miles.
